Frequently Asked Questions

Is form 1096 or W-3 required when forms are eFiled?

No. When filing electronically, these forms are no longer required.

Do I need to apply for a Transmitter Control Code (TCC)?

No. Forms are filed using Fantaxtic's TCC, so there is no need for you to obtain one.

Can I e-File if I have less than 250 forms?

Yes, absolutely. The IRS requires you to file electronically when you have more than 250 forms of the same type. You can, however, eFile any number of forms.

How does the state eFile process work?

For applicable 1099-based forms, Fantaxtic will submit state filing information to the IRS. This information is then shared with states participating in the Combined Federal/State Filing Program. For most states, this is all that is required. Requirements vary from state to state however, so be sure to check the specific requirements for your state.

Fantaxtic does not submit state eFile information for W-2 forms.

Is there a charge to eFile corrected forms?

Yes. Please refer our pricing page for details.
